LinkedIn Profile Optimization (with Creators Mode)

Mark Steel Podcast

Are you ready to take advantage of all the new ways to enhance your LinkedIn profile optimization?
Sales teams, leaders, and speakers will soon have more options when it comes to building connections, establishing your expertise, and standing out from others.

Recently, LinkedIn announced a slew of new capabilities aimed at helping you and your business get noticed. Specifically, the platform is adding a “Creators Mode,” along with new tools to help expand your target audience.

How to Optimize Your Profile in Creators Mode.

Creators Mode will change your user profile to emphasize the topics you discuss most. When enabled, you will choose the hashtags you are most interested in or that you post about the most. Those hashtags will be featured prominently below your job title at the top of your profile.

To increase your LinkedIn profile optimization, you can display your content and any original posts you make. They will be displayed for your connections to view on your profile. LinkedIn is also adding a new video cover story option, which you can use to add true personalization to your profile. This new video option is an excellent way for you to create trust and build rapport via a short introductory video. Think of it as your modern-day business card.

Optimization Explained by LinkedIn :

“Once you add your Cover Story, an orange ring will appear around your Profile photo a preview of your video will auto-play silently within your photo frame (we like to think of it as the “Harry Potter” effect). And, stay tuned for captioning capabilities coming soon. “

For more LinkedIn profile optimization the platform has also confirmed they are in the early stages of testing audio features similar to those on the app Clubhouse. This “live podcast-style” of audio is in high demand. Facebook, Slack, Mark Cuban, and other big players are rumored to be entering this market.

It’s time to get started

As the platform grows beyond 740 million users, this gives you – whether you are in sales, a coach, leader, or business-minded professional – a great chance to grow your audience while you grow your business.
